The Capri Macaw is a hybrid cross between a Camelot Macaw and a Scarlet Macaw. A third generation hybrid macaw, the Capri Macaw has lots of Scarlet Macaw in its parentage.The Scarlet Macaw has been the best known South American parrot for over 100 years. It is one of the most popular macaws, frequently described as "beautiful and striking". The Capri Macaw inherits all that beautiful coloring and more. The Scarlet is one of the parents in the first generation hybrid macaw, then again in the second crossing, and finally again in the last generation. The Capri Macaw has 7/8's of its parentage coming from the Scarlet Macaw, so will be highly influenced by the traits and characteristics of this species.
